Description
My dad took this shot while we were at the Smithsonian Museum of American History, in Washington, DC, in July 2009. I am standing in front of Southern Railway 1401, a 4-6-2 Pacific that was built in 1926. More info here: [link]
My dad and I roamed just the eastern half of the first floor of this museum for at least an hour or more. We learned a heckuva lot about each others interests, passions, and fields of work. From mapping to transportation to electricity. It was awesome.
